ARGENTINIAN TANGO The performance of Mira Roos (violin) and Robert Bekkers (guitar), which took place at the physiotherapy practice at the Bellinistraat, Alkmaar, Netherlands, definitely crossed some borders. Within a half hour, the 35 person audience made a breathtaking journey through time: from 17th century Bach, followed by a Spanish guitar solo to an Argentinian tango as it must have sounded around 1930 in Buenos Aires. Over a glass of wine, after the performance, an old lady said:"I got tears in my eyes". A young man, that could well have been her grandson asked: "tears?" "Yes, son", the lady replied. "It's because of the violin." |
